Emily Parker Myers is Chief Executive Officer of Myers McRae. Known for her commitment to excellence, she brings extensive firsthand knowledge and experience in higher education administration and executive searches as well as an exceptional record in fundraising and admissions. While she conducts a wide range of searches, her areas of specialty are Presidential, Provost, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Advancement. Prior to her career in executive search, she served the majority of her career as Senior Vice President of University Advancement and External Affairs at Mercer University. She was the first woman in the history of Mercer to hold a vice presidency at Mercer.
During her leadership in University Advancement, Mercer received more than $1 billion in private gifts, grants, and state allocations. She has been nationally recognized for her fundraising and leadership accomplishments. In addition to her work in Advancement, she had a successful record in admissions, overseeing several of university’s admissions programs, including the undergraduate enrollment. In recognition of her enduring influence on the university, Mercer’s Board of Trustees voted in 2011 to name the university’s new admissions and welcome center in her honor. The Emily Parker Myers Admissions and Welcome Center on Mercer’s historic Macon campus was dedicated on Nov. 2, 2012. Beyond her executive search leadership, she has provided counsel and assisted with strategic planning in both fundraising and admissions to colleges and universities across the nation.
