Elana Burr, as Director of Client Services, is leading the StevenDouglas office in Bethesda, MD. She began her career in the recruiting industry in 2000, and has primarily focused on IT contract staffing and direct hire placements in various industries. Elana’s strong, local market knowledge and extensive network in the DC Metro and Baltimore areas ensure clients are getting the best support and resources to manage their business’ technology needs.

Elana’s background in staffing and recruiting includes being the founder and owner of a small staffing firm for 16 years in the DC Metro Area, as well as experience working with start-ups through Fortune 500 companies as well as with major universities and health systems. Prior to joining StevenDouglas Elana served as the Vice President for a technology and health IT staffing firm, in addition to operating her own firm.

Elana is known for her long-term client relationships and excellent communication where she strives to understand her clients’ business needs in order to provide the best resources. She has a successful track record of building teams for clients to help them grow their business and effectively scale-up. It’s this consultative approach that Elana brings to every situation, that allows her to provide the best solutions to her clients.

Elana has a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Maryland, and is a Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) through American Staffing Association. She is active in many Chambers of Commerce in her area, as well as supports other networking and professional business groups within the DC Metro and Baltimore areas.
