Her expertise as a seasoned advancement professional, including in engagement and communications and marketing arenas, positions her to support critical search and talent needs among the firm’s broad range of clients.
She brings knowledge based on first-hand leadership and management scenarios in global, mature, and high-growth organizations. Donna understands the skills, experience, and personal qualities required to lead high-performing teams while driving and executing strategy, with metrics-based results. She is recognized in the advancement industry as a trusted advisor and a collaborator.
Donna has worked with a range of leading clients including Cornell University, Emory University, The Brookings Institution, American University, Texas Biomedical Research Institute, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Interlochen Center for the Arts. In addition, she has been a key leader in helping to build the advancement team for Australian National University as it expands its philanthropic culture. In her most recent industry role, Donna served as a valued partner to the Dean of the MIT Sloan School of Management as Senior Director, Alumni Engagement, Communications and Events at MIT Sloan, where she was also a member of the senior leadership team and managed three functional areas and a team of 15. Her scope of responsibilities included global engagement and board management, department-wide communications assessment and planning, as well as guiding data and system efficiencies.
Donna’s prior MIT Sloan responsibilities focused on data-driven strategies to increase alumni engagement and philanthropic giving internationally and domestically. She previously built programs and teams during a significant tenure at Simmons University evolving all aspects of engagement strategy and logistics. This included groundbreaking work with their renowned schools of Nursing and Affiliated Health Sciences, Library and Information Science, Management and Communications, and Social Work. Donna’s for-profit experience includes early career roles with Walt Disney World Company. She holds a BA degree from Merrimack College and her master’s degree in Communications Management from Simmons University.
