Ana Paula Montanha


Ana Paula serves as Partner for DHR in Brazil and Latin America. Based in the firm’s Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo offices, Ana’s experience in Latin America includes successfully implemented projects for broad range of industry segments in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Mexico.

Throughout her career she has developed a deep knowledge of multiple sectors with an emphasis on senior-level roles. Ana’s market expertise includes Space & Defense, Advanced Technology, Energy, Luxury, Financial Services & Private Equity, and Professional Services.

She participates in the Industrial and Venture Capital & Private Equity Practice Groups and leads DHR International’s efforts in Space & Defense, Advanced Technology, Energy and Private Equity throughout Brazil and Latin America. She is also member of the CFO, Board and CEO Practice Groups. Ana’s knowledge of the Brazil and in Latin America markets result from her work as senior executive and partner of her own management consulting company.

Prior to joining DHR International, Ana served in a private equity start-up as Latin America and Caribbean Director. She also served as Regional Director at a leading Brazilian retained executive search and has almost 20 years of experience working across diversified industries such as Energy, Telecommunications, Cargo Insurance and Advanced Technology across arenas that include Finance, Strategic Planning, Sales & Marketing, Channels Management and Business Development.

Ana holds an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School, a Post Graduate degree in Marketing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and a bachelor degree in Economics from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

She is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish, with a knowledge of basic German. Ana’s personal commitment to philanthropy as well as service-based organizations underscores her expertise. She currently serves on several boards, including the Fiscal Board of Peninsula, a community with 15,000 residents in Rio de Janeiro, RJ; The British School, Brazil as an Executive Committee Member and Board PTA Member; on the largest Oil & Gas company in Brazil’s board as a Strategic Consultant, and for IPMA Brazil as a Board Member. Her appointment reflects the first woman ever appointed in Brazil.
