Alicia Salerno

Managing Director

Alicia Salerno is a Managing Director, working primarily in Diverisifed Search Group’s Nonprofit practice. Alicia has extensive experience in leading searches for nonprofit organizations including Community Change, Food & Water Watch, and RAW Art Works. Her longstanding interest in the environment, social justice, and philanthropy will continue to guide her work in the firm’s nonprofit practice. She began her career in higher education, working in student recruitment, leadership, and training at Brown University, Providence College, University of Massachusetts (Dartmouth), and Salve Regina University. Salerno joined Koya Leadership Partners in 2016 which was subsequently acquired by Diversified Search Group. Alicia engages with mission-driven organizations and talented leaders across the country.

Prior to joining Diversified Search Group, Alicia worked for Youth Villages as a Human Capital Manager and Recruiting Supervisor where she managed staffing and talent development for seven programs in the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Mississippi markets.

Alicia began her career in higher education, focused on student recruitment, leadership, and training at Brown University, Providence College, University of Massachusetts (Dartmouth), and Salve Regina University.

Alicia holds a BA degree in Political Science and History from Salve Regina University. She earned an MA in Counseling from Rhode Island College and an MA in History from Providence College. In addition to her academic credentials, Alicia is also a certified Professional of Human Resources (PHR).
