Abbee Phillips


Abbee Phillips leads the Retail and Consumer practice for JM Search, where she recruits C-level executives for retail, consumer, and ecommerce businesses. She is also an integral part of the firm’s entry into the legal cannabis industry. For more than two decades, Abbee has worked with highly marketed clients to execute senior-level executive searches in merchandising, marketing, operations, and finance. She has placed executives with leading brands and retailers that include Ralph Lauren, Coach, Alberto Culver, Home Depot, and AutoZone.

Before joining JM Search, Abbee spent 14 years as a Client Partner at Korn/Ferry, where she was a member of the firm’s Global Consumer Market and Financial Officers Center of Expertise. She joined Korn/Ferry after five years with a New York-based boutique executive search firm. Abbee began her career in executive search immediately after earning an MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She also holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Delaware.

Abbee currently sits on the advisory board of Margaux (, a startup made-to-measure footwear company. She also serves on the HR Committee of the Women’s Resource Center (WRC), a registered 501©3 nonprofit that supports women, strengthens families and builds communities through information, referral, counseling, legal, and educational services. Outside of the office, Abbee enjoys spending time with her family (especially at the beach), trekking across North America for her son’s hockey games, music and the outdoors.
