ZRG Partners Names Managing Director in Frankfurt

March 7, 2016 – ZRG Partners has added Alexander Spielberg as a managing director and member of the firm’s global industrial and life sciences practice in its Frankfurt, Germany office.

Mr. Spielberg previously spent six years with Korn Ferry in its global industrial search practice. Most recently, he was a partner at European boutique search firm Exgeniam Executive Search Personalberatung KG supporting clients in the life sciences and industrial sectors.

“Alex brings the right mix of local market knowledge and sector expertise to allow us to keep up with our growing client demand in Germany,” said CEO Larry Hartmann. “We will continue to grow our team in Frankfurt over the coming year to support our global and local German clients.”

Germany is the largest national economy in Europe, and the fourth-largest by nominal GDP in the world. The country’s service sector makes up 70 percent of its GDP and nearly 40 percent of Fortune Global 500 companies are headquartered here. But Germany is facing severe economic prospects, as the country comes to grips with a growing immigration and migrant crisis which is expected to challenge every corner of its society, from education and healthcare infrastructure to jobs.

Well-known companies in the country include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, SAP, Siemens, Volkswagen, Adidas, Audi, Allianz, Porsche, Bayer, BASF, Bosch, and Nivea. As such, it is an important base of operations for search firms, including Egon Zehnder, Spencer Stuart, Boyden, Russell Reynolds Associates, Heidrick & Struggles, DHR International and Korn Ferry.

“ZRG Partners has a strong product offering for the German market, with the Z Score tools and data analytics products. It is also exciting to be united again with some of my previous Korn Ferry colleagues who have previously joined ZRG,” Mr. Spielberg said.

Earlier this year, ZRG Partners added former Korn Ferry recruiter Leslie Sharp as a managing director and member of its industrial recruiting practice. Within the utilities space, Ms. Sharp has recruiting for chief customer officers, chief public affairs officers, VP’s of transmission, directors of operations and board directors.

This past fall, the firm named a Korn Ferry consultant, Richard Morford, as managing director to further build out its global industrial recruiting practice and augment efforts in the firm’s life science sector practice. He works primarily in the chemicals and life sciences industries and has executed search assignments in North America and Europe in the sales, marketing, business development, manufacturing, procurement, R&D, legal and general management functions.

ZRG also added former Korn Ferry recruiter Jim Aslaksen as managing director in Chicago to strengthen its global industrial search practice. He has over 20 years of experience in leading assignments for CEOs, board directors and other senior level executives for global industrial organizations, frequently working within the chemical and process industries markets.
