Terra Search Partners Announces Southern California Expansion
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 8, 2016 — San Francisco-based Terra Search Partners, a retained executive search firm helping real estate companies build successful and lasting teams, announced today that company Managing Director Sharon Sterling will relocate to Orange County to lead its new Southern California office. Long-term Terra Search Principal, Ellie Gardner, will join Sterling in building the firm’s Southern California presence.
Sterling joined Terra Search Partners in 2014, bringing 30 years of demonstrated success in the real estate industry. Her industry experience includes institutional real estate asset management, re-development, acquisition, disposition and sustainability with leading industry firms including Grosvenor, Archon, Invesco, and Heitman. Sterling will focus much of her work at the new office on positions in investment management, asset management and acquisitions.
Prior to Terra Search Partners, Sterling was senior vice president at Grosvenor and was responsible for the re-development and re-positioning of a commercial and residential property portfolio that included luxury retail, Class A office and institutional quality multi-family properties. Sterling holds a B.A. in Economics and Business from UCLA and earned her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
Gardner’s experience includes recruitment of senior level executives in the commercial and residential real estate industries and consulting and recruiting for a boutique search firm specializing in the healthcare field. Gardner received her B.A. in Political Science from Furman University and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
“We are not only thrilled to be launching our new Southern California office, we are confident that Sharon’s and Ellie’s talents and experience will help strengthen our presence in this most important market,” said Matt Slepin, founder and managing partner, Terra Search Partners. “Being on the ground in Southern California, both Sharon and Ellie will be able to better serve our existing client base and help further build the business in this growing market. As the Southern California real estate market accelerates, the search for C-level and senior executives will increase. We’re now in a strong position to create new opportunities not only for our firm but for the real estate industry.”
“Relocating to Southern California allows me to come full circle,” said Sterling. “I grew up in Orange County and watched it change from farms to houses to a major employment center. After spending half my career in Los Angeles, I left for the San Francisco Bay Area for its innovation and was there for the front-end of the growth curve. I look forward to diving back into the Southern California market with twice the people, more diverse industries, and a strong economic tailwind.”
