Sheffield Haworth Appoints Head of Global Markets Practice

December 10, 2009 – London-based executive search firm Sheffield Haworth has added Lee Thacker as managing director and head of its global markets practice. Mr. Thacker will have responsibility for leading the executive search, research and advisory services in global markets across all Sheffield Haworth offices. Initially based in London, he will relocate to the Hong Kong office in mid-2010. Mr. Lee joins Sheffield Haworth following its acquisition of Silvermine Partners, where he was founder and principal consultant. Prior to launching Silvermine, he was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles from 2005 to 2008 following their acquisition of Highland Partners and has originated and executed numerous managing director-level searches in debt capital markets, credit and rates sales, trading and research, leveraged finance and real estate financing over the past 10 years. “Lee’s appointment is an important next step in the group’s international development and reaffirms our commitment to building the industry’s leading global markets practice. His relocation to Hong Kong in mid-2010 will also enhance the breadth and depth of our capabilities in the Asia Pacific region,” said Tim Sheffield, CEO. “The global financial services industry has seen significant change over the past 12 months but 2009 has been a transformational year for Sheffield Haworth and I’m delighted with the progress we have made and the new hires we have brought into the business.”
