Russell Reynolds Associates Taps Boutique for Software Practice Head

March 16, 2016 – Russell Reynolds Associates has added Jeff Yolen in Boston as leader of the firm’s software practice on the East Coast. Mr. Yolen’s work focuses on software, mobile and digital search assignments for companies based across the U.S. and abroad. He works with publicly traded companies, and with private equity, growth equity, and venture capital firms to recruit senior leaders to their portfolio companies.

Previously, Mr. Yolen was a leader in the software & internet practice at JM Search, where he focused on C-level searches for growth equity, PE, and venture-backed clients. Most of his searches were for CEO, president, COO, CFO and heads of sales and marketing. Before that, he spearheaded the U.S. practice for executive search boutique Renovata Partners.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Yolen spent over 15 years as a software, internet and mobile executive and investor. He was chief revenue officer of digital media startup Sphere, which was acquired by AOL, where he served as vice president. He was also a venture partner at New Atlantic Ventures and served in executive roles at Virgin Management, Real Networks and Kozmo.com.
