Recruiting Industry Study to be Released Tomorrow

June 17, 2014 – Annual Report Focuses on Women; Boutique Firms; and Hot Recruiting Sectors

HSZ Media’s Executive Search 2014: State of the Industry Report (U.S./Americas) will be released tomorrow. This year’s 200-plus page industry study is the largest and most comprehensive ever produced by HSZ Media. Critical issues facing the talent acquisition sector are examined in detail. The growing influence of women in the executive recruiting business takes center stage in the report. “Women are now seen as some of the most important corporate gatekeepers,” said Christopher Hunt, one of the study’s lead authors. “We identify all of them in this report.” Leading female search consultants are profiled in the study, from those heading up the all-important board recruitment discipline to others leading specialty practices at large and small search firms. CEO placements conducted by female recruiters is examined. The rise of boutique firms is also put under the magnifying glass in this year’s report. An explosion of independent recruiters has developed post-recession; what makes them successful and able to increasingly compete at the C-levels is explored. Talent acquisition professionals also weigh in on why they are moving toward these new industry ‘preferred providers’ in droves. Three hot recruiting sectors — Clean-Tech/Sustainability, Non-Profit/Academia and Financial Services (Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Hedge Funds and Private Equity) — are examined in great detail. This year’s report also contains 16 talent management case studies, search firm rankings, and the results of HSZ Media’s highly anticipated annual human capital trends survey. A 20 percent discount ($475) will be offered through this Friday for those interested in purchasing the study in PDF format. Please call (203) 252-7302 to order. All major credit cards are accepted.
