Recruiting Association Names President

June 15, 2015 – The International Association for Corporate & Professional Recruitment (IACPR) has selected Caroline McClure to serve as its new president. Ms. McClure brings more than 20 years of first hand work experience on both the buy and sell sides of the executive talent equation.

Her background draws from work as a senior search consultant at Korn Ferry and boutique search provider Krauthamer & Associates, as director of executive recruiting for Lockheed  Martin, and finally as managing director of ScoutRock, a talent and social media consultancy. Ms. McClure has conducted all aspects of executive search across all functions, within a variety of industries, in both Fortune 50 organizations and startup ventures. Industries within which she has served include life sciences, aerospace & defense, transportation, energy, and technology.

As director of executive recruiting at Lockheed Martin, Ms. McClure established a centralized corporate-wide executive recruiting program designing the concept of operations as well as the implementation and execution strategies. Focusing on the top two percent of executive positions, the function improved the quality of hire by a 215 percent increase in high potential nominations, a 175 percent increase in diversity and a 570 percent decrease in attrition. She effectively turned around Lockheed’s strategic sourcing program, creating talent pipelines of non-executive professionals possessing the company’s critical skills. She also designed and implemented a non-executive military recruiting program focused on recruiting separating military personnel.

“Our board is absolutely thrilled to have someone with Caroline’s depth of executive talent management experience leading the organization,” said Gary Preston, chairman of the IACPR. “Her tenure as the top talent professional in a multi-billion dollar organization, coupled with her experience as the owner / operator of a talent management consulting practice, gives her a unique perspective from both sides of the desk that will be invaluable to our membership.”

In addition to her role as IACPR president, she will maintain her consultant practice at ScoutRock and retain her seat on the Association’s board. Serving at the direction of the board, Ms. McClure will focus on transforming the recruiting industry trade group by developing and delivering more value-added services for senior-level human capital professionals serving on both sides of the talent spectrum.

IACPR provides chief human resource officers, senior corporate talent strategists and executive recruiters with opportunities to share innovative strategies, strengthen best practices and create cutting-edge expertise. The organization’s members – drawn from Fortune 500 corporations, fast-growth companies and leading search firms – are those whose primary roles are focused on attracting, developing and retaining top flight leadership teams.
