Pedersen & Partners Opens First U.S. Office; Names Head of North America

September 9, 2015 – Executive search firm Pedersen & Partners has opened its first office in the U.S., establishing a presence in Houston. This becomes the firm’s sixth office in the Americas joining Pedersen & Partners’ offices in Canada, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru.

COO and partner of Pedersen & Partners, Darcie Murray, will be based in Houston and serve as the firm’s new head of North America. Ms. Murray has worked with Pedersen & Partners since 2006, and will be returning to the U.S. after spending the last 10 years living and working in Europe, during which she played a key role in implementing Pedersen & Partners’ global growth strategy. In addition to the Houston office, she will also manage the Pedersen & Partners’ office in Canada, and will be responsible for the continued development of the firm in North America. Chris Barrett, client partner and head of energy for North America, and client partner David Sanchez will also be joining the new Houston office.

Mr. Barrett brings over 15 years of executive search experience with a focus on the upstream and midstream oil & gas markets. He focuses in particular on the oilfield service, manufacturing, exploration and production, stimulation, subsea engineering, offshore construction, pipeline/transportation and renewable energy sectors. Most recently, Mr. Barrett was previously a managing principal at Silicon Cantera

Mr. Sanchez joins Pedersen & Partners from international search firm Shore – Signium International where he established branches in Miami and Houston, and led the firm’s expansion into Latin America. He brings executive search experience, with a particular focus on human capital management, financial and insurance services, and banking operations.
