Monster Employment Index Up Slightly in May

June 5, 2012 – The Monster Employment Index (MEI), a monthly analysis of millions of online job opportunities culled from a large, representative selection of corporate career sites and job boards, grew three percent in May and rose one percent month-over-month. Transportation and warehousing continued to outpace all sectors in recruitment growth, while finance and insurance gained momentum during the month. Educational services, utilities, and public administration registered double-digit negative growth. Geographically during the month, Indianapolis and Detriot both experienced double digit growth.
