Manpower Posts 19 Percent Revenue Increase

October 21, 2010 – Manpower Inc./(NYSE:MAN) has posted revenues of $4.97 billion for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010, an increase of 19 percent from $4.19 billion a year earlier. The Milwaukee-based company recorded net income of $51.3 million, or 62 cents per share, compared with a year-ago loss of $52.8 million, or 67 cents per share. “We were able to sustain our growth from the second quarter and substantially improve our operating margin. We continue to benefit from our office network and strong portfolio of offerings,” said Jeffrey A. Joerres, chairman and CEO. “The U.S., Germany and the U.K. did particularly well, as did the emerging markets. The trends continue to be strong for our industry, and we continue to hear and experience encouraging signs from our clients.”
