Kincannon & Reed Strengthens South and Central America Operations

October 7, 2013 – Kincannon & Reed has made several moves to strengthen the firm’s capabilities in South and Central America. David Turner, a managing director, has been appointed head of the firm’s Latin America business unit. Joseph Sherman has joined the firm as a managing director in Sao Paulo. Mr. Sherman comes to Kincannon & Reed following a 38 year career in senior executive positions in agribusiness and biofuels throughout Latin America working for Cargill, Cooperativa Cocamar, Zeneca, and Continental Grain, among others. He most recently held the position of executive director of the International Ethanol Trade Association. “Engagements to fill senior positions in Latin America constitute a significant and growing portion of the firm’s business. The outlook for the region continues to be bullish; it was time to invest in additional on-the-ground talent that can provide Latin American and multinational organizations a way to tap into our firm’s broad and deep network of talent in sectors related to the food chain,” said firm president Greg Duerksen. Founded in 1981, Kincannon & Reed is focused exclusively on the food, agribusiness, and life sciences sectors and serves clients from its offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.
