JDG to Commence VP of Facilities and Security Search for Montgomery College
ROCKVILLE, MD, September 9, 2016 — Founded in 1946, Montgomery College is a two-year public multi-campus institution that serves nearly 60,000 students a year in geographically-dispersed and diverse locations (Germantown, Rockville and Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Maryland). The Office of Facilities and Security (OFS) is committed to advancing and promoting student success at Montgomery College by providing the highest quality physical environment for the entire College community. Specifically, the OFS will continue to focus on maintaining and improving the physical environment in terms of a safe, comfortable, and clean working and learning environment that will maximize student success.
The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of and experience with facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance; capital renewal management; sustainable building design and utilities operations; and integration and management of all facets of organizational security. S/he will have a demonstrated experience in managing and motivating teams and overseeing large capital and operating budgets. S/he will have experience in creating and implementing long-range strategic facility and security plans for a complex organization. S/he will have experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in order to promote and achieve organizational objectives.
