Isaacson, Miller Places Dean at American University

June 26, 2009 – Isaacson, Miller has placed Dr. Peter Starr as dean of The College of Arts and Sciences at American University. Dr. Starr will begin his new role on July 1. Dr. Starr is currently a professor of French and comparative literature in the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC), where he also served as the college's interim dean, dean of undergraduate programs, and department chair. The search was led by Isaacson, Miller’s Vivian Brocard with Pam Pezzoli. Founded in 1982, Isaacson, Miller focuses on executive search assignments for a wide variety of organizations, including leading universities, research institutes, academic medical centers, foundations, cultural institutions, economic development organizations, human service agencies, and national advocacy groups.
