January 20, 2017 – Executive search firm Human Capital Solutions is expanding with the addition of a new office in Raleigh, NC. “Our firm will be celebrating our 14 year anniversary in just a few months and we are excited to see the key business indicators and the psychology of the marketplace improve and swing more favorably for companies to grow, hire, and expand,” said Bo Burch, chief executive officer.
Raleigh’s industrial base includes organizations in banking / financial services; electrical, medical, electronic and telecommunications equipment; clothing and apparel; food processing; paper products; and pharmaceuticals. Raleigh is part of North Carolina’s Research Triangle, one of the country’s largest and most successful research parks, and it is a major center for high-tech and biotech research, as well as advanced textile development.

In addition to opening its new office in Raleigh, the firm has brought in Mark Lombard as managing director of its life sciences, healthcare and technology recruiting practice.
Mr. Lombard will be growing and delivering on business primarily in the Research Triangle Park, Durham and Raleigh market geography. His knowledge base has been built upon more than a decade of research experience as a drug discovery molecular biologist with Amgen, GlaxoSmithKline and Pharmacia & Upjohn (now part of Pfizer). His scientific career primarily centered on elucidating protein-protein interactions and signaling pathways in support of target discovery and validation programs in oncology, infectious, neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases.
Mr. Lombard has presented his research to domestic as well as international audiences and has co-authored publications in several peer-reviewed scientific journals such as Cancer Research, Molecular Biology of the Cell, Genomics and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
Acquisition
Human Capital Solutions provides retained executive search and professional recruiting services with industry veterans and subject matter experts in the life sciences, healthcare, industrial and technology sectors.
Just recently, the firm acquired Clear Concepts, an international industrial and technology executive search firm. For more than 20 years, Clear Concepts has provided executive search services for the aviation, aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics and technology sectors. The firm is led by president and CEO Tom Cleary, who will join Human Capital Solutions as a managing director.
Clear Concepts’ client roster includes many of the top aerospace / defense, automotive, and consumer electronics manufacturers including electromechanical and embedded software / hardware companies. Its clients, both national and international, are mainly Fortune 1000 with an emphasis on high-tech, and high-growth businesses.
