Heidrick & Struggles Promotes General Counsel

December 5, 2010 – Chicago-headquartered executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International has announced the promotion of Stephen Beard to executive vice president and general counsel. He will have responsibility for all of the company's worldwide legal activities. Mr. Beard joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2003 as assistant general counsel and was promoted to VP, deputy general counsel, and chief compliance officer in 2008, where he led the company's compliance, governance, and transaction activities. He formerly worked with Schiff Hardin, LLP, in Chicago where he was a member of the firm's corporate and securities practice group.
