Heidrick & Struggles Posts 11.5 Percent Q2 Revenue Gain

July 30, 2014 – Chicago-based Heidrick & Struggles International/(NASDAQ:HSII) has posted net revenue of $136.1 million in the second quarter, up 11.5 percent from $122 million in the 2013 second quarter. The increase was driven by a 34 percent increase in Europe and a 3.4 percent increase in the Americas. Revenue from Asia Pacific in the 2014 second quarter was essentially unchanged compared to the prior year. The company reported net income of $3.8 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.21, compared to net income was $1.9 million and $0.11 diluted earnings per share a year ago. "Our second quarter results reflect year-over-year and sequential improvements in almost all of our operating segments and key metrics," said Tracy R. Wolstencroft, president and CEO. "We are encouraged by the progress and by the continued growth in our consultant base since the beginning of the year. At the same time, we recognize there is still much work to be done to deliver a fully integrated service platform to our clients and to improve our financial performance."
