Hays Launches Insurance Practice in Japan

June 27, 2011 – Global recruitment company Hays plc has launched its insurance specialization in Japan, responding to rising local demand for insurance professionals. Hays Insurance recruits across general, commercial, life and workers compensation, and operates in the sales, actuarial, technical, compliance and administration fields. Christine Wright, managing director of Hays in Japan, said: “Tokyo's insurance sector has experienced strong jobs numbers from the start of the year. And the earthquake and its aftermath have caused a sharp increase in the need for skills to assess and process claims. We've particularly seen demand rise for adjusters to assess claims, while telephone operators are needed to take calls from policy holders.” Hays Insurance is Hays' thirteenth specialization in Japan. Globally, Hays Insurance operates from 30 countries, including Japan.
