Futurestep Launches Healthcare Technology & Services Practice

October 25, 2016 – Futurestep, a Korn Ferry company that provides talent acquisition solutions, has launched a dedicated healthcare technology & services practice. It will bring broad capabilities and expertise across the entire health tech market, serving payors, providers and healthcare technology companies.

The practice will be a direct extension of Korn Ferry’s healthcare technology executive search practice group, which has completed more than 600 senior level engagements across the healthcare technology sector over the last decade or so.

Jessica Johnson has been named the sector’s leader. She has been a member of Korn Ferry’s healthcare technology practice for more than 10 years.

“We’re excited to be establishing this practice as there is a significant opportunity to help our clients with their human capital needs across their entire organizations,” said Doug Greenberg, Korn Ferry executive search global sector leader, healthcare technology & services. “As healthcare continues its journey from volume to value, the skills our clients are requiring are changing and becoming more complex, with a greater focus on consumerism, analytics and tech-enabled services.”

Continued Growth

Futurestep has experienced a wave of growth activity in recent months as well as an important leadership change at the top:

A few weeks ago, the company established a dedicated credit union and community banking reruiting practice area and has named Mike Juratovac as sector leader. The practice falls within Futurestep’s North America financial services practice. Mr. Juratovac brings with him more than 20 years of executive search and consulting experience, with a specific focus on financial services – credit unions and community banks in particular. Previously, he served as chief executive officer for executive recruiting and consulting firm O’Rourke & Associates, where he provided strategic oversight to all search engagements, managing client relationships and driving new business development.

Just recently, Futurestep added Eduardo Medina, Marnix Lamberts, Filip Loossens and Renan Mamann as senior consultants within its industrial search practice. Mr. Medina joined Futurestep as a senior consultant in its Madrid office. He brings experience in the wind and energy sector. Previously, he held a variety of roles at Michael Page, including senior consultant and manager within its engineering division. Also with over 20 years’ experience, Mr. Loossens joined Brussels team as a managing consultant. He was previously with specialist recruitment consultancy Robert Walters, where he created and led its engineering division. Mr. Mamann is managing consultant based in its Paris office. He formerly served as a managing associate in the industrial practice at Korn Ferry for the last decade.

Futurestep has also expanded its advanced technology practice with the additions of Joanne Cumper and Ian Mosby as managing consultants in its London office. Ms. Cumper, who was previously an executive search consultant with Halo Search, focuses on delivering specialists for digital roles across EMEA, working with all industry sectors for digital transformation as well as pure play, consulting and data / insight. Mr. Mosby, formerly leader of the consulting and professional services practice at Renaissance Leadership, assumed the position of managing consultant for Futurestep’s London office and is also a member of the advanced technology practice.

In September, the company named Bill Gilbert as president of Futurestep North America, where he leads the strategy and growth efforts for both its search and solutions businesses in the region. Mr. Gilbert has been with Futurestep since 1999. In 2012, after serving in a number of revenue generating and leadership roles, he was appointed to his most recent role of vice president and general manager for Futurestep’s North America search business. “In his more than 17 years with the firm, Bill has come to be regarded as an exceptional leader and colleague, not only in North America, but across the globe,” said Futurestep chief executive officer Byrne Mulrooney. “Among his list of achievements, he led the restructuring of the Futurestep North American search organization to align more closely with Korn Ferry by establishing market, sector and functional leadership and expertise, which has had significant positive impact on our go-to-market strategy.”
