Daversa Partners Places Chief Technology Officer at AOL

May 12, 2010 – Executive search firm Daversa Partners has recruited Alexander Gounares as chief technology officer at AOL. Mr. Gounares joins AOL from Microsoft where he was a corporate VP and chief technology officer for Microsoft’s Online Services Division. He also served for three years as technology advisor to Microsoft chairman and founder Bill Gates, as well as corporate vice president of corporate strategy in Microsoft’s finance department. Bruce Brown at Daversa Partners led the search. With offices in Stamford, San Francisco and Austin, Daversa specializes in the placement of technology executives.
