CDI Revenue Jumps 22 Percent; MRI Up Nine Percent

April 29, 2011 – CDI Corp./(NYSE:CDI), a Philadelphia-based provider of IT-focused recruitment solutions, posted first quarter revenues of $256.6 million, a gain of 22.2 percent from revenues of $209.9 million a year ago. During the quarter, the company reported net income of $0.7 million, or $0.04 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $0.2 million, or $0.01 per diluted share in the prior year first quarter. Management Recruiters International (MRI) reports 9.3 percent revenue growth compared to the prior-year first quarter and 0.5 percent sequential quarterly decline in revenue, while U.K.-based CDI AndersElite (Anders) revenue decreases 36.3 percent compared to the prior-year first quarter but shows some signs of improvement with 5.5 percent sequential quarterly growth. “Our 2011 first quarter performance is encouraging, demonstrating early signs of building momentum in a developing recovery, capturing the associated demand for skilled contract and full-time professionals and project outsourcing,” said Paulett Eberhart, president and CEO.
