B. E. Smith to Provide Interim Search Services to UHC

April 2, 2010 – The University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) has formed an agreement with B. E. Smith for interim management and executive search services. B. E. Smith is a full-service healthcare leadership solutions firm and a provider of interim leadership, permanent executive placements, and consulting solutions. “UHC is pleased to offer these important services from a highly experienced and trusted company,” said Cindy White, UHC vice president of operations. “Our members can avoid interruptions to their business by having continuity in leadership expertise.” UHC, formed in 1984, is an alliance of 107 academic medical centers and 232 of their affiliated hospitals, representing approximately 90 percent of the nation's nonprofit academic medical centers. B. E. Smith employs more than 200 clinical and nonclinical interim executives who bring over 20 years of health care leadership experience and can be on site in less than 2 weeks.
